Ten Favorite Trader Joe's Beauty Products 2018

Trader Joe's, the go-to for so many things. I have a couple essentials from there: lilies, edamame (the recipe to my oh-so-delicious spicy garlic lime edamame everyone loves), shashito peppers, cotton candy grapes, pickle popcorn (which, btw, is only out during the summer and delicious), Everything But the Bagel seasoning. Ya know, super normal stuff! But you know what else I love? Trader Joe's beauty products.

Trader Joe's Beauty Products...

So random, right?

As you know, I am a beauty junky!! So once upon a time I picked up one thing, then another, then another, and now I have a whole slew of beauty products from Trader Joe's that I swear by. I love my Tom Ford, Armani, and Dior. I can't help it...some things just can't be duplicated or replaced. But if I can get something that's effective on a bargain? Please! Why wouldn't I?

The other day, after re-stocking all my favorites, I did a little poll on Instagram asking who would like to see my favorite Trader Joe's beauty products and received an almost unanimous and overwhelming yes from you. There was one person who said no, but let's be honest...

So here you go....

Favorite Trader Joe's Beauty Products

(Full disclosure, this is in no way sponsored. All product was purchased by me and not gifted by Trader Joe's.)

Trader Joe's Best Beauty Products hair mask, tea, facial moisturizer, serum, tea tree oil, body butter, organ oil, hand cream, jojoba oil

Clockwise: Trader Joe's Shea Butter and Coconut Oil Hair Mask, Trader Joe's Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer, Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter, Trader Joe's Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum, Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil, Trader Joe's Argan Oil, Trader Joe's Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream, Trader Joe's Jojoba Oil, Trader Joe's Ginger Turmeric Tea

Trader Joe's Shea Butter and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Color is rough on the hair so I need all the help I can get to keep it healthy and how can I not for $3.99? It feels so good and is a steal! Get in the shower, wash your hair, put on this mask, do all your other stuff like shaving, and then rinse. Or, for a super luxurious time, soak in your tub and let the shea butter and coconut oil sit for a deep moisturizing treatment on your hair. You're welcome, you will love this Trader Joe's hair mask.

Trader Joe's Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer

Full of natural oils and glycerin it's so light and smooth. This is the perfect moisturizer when you just want something basic without any advanced treatments.

Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter

The first time I got this was a few years ago while I was visiting my grandparents in Arizona, where it's so dry. I brought it with me when I was in Boston back in December, when everyone's skin is cracked and sore, and everyone was using it up! This body butter is amazing year round, but you'll be especially thankful because it's the best body butter in the winter.

Trader Joe's Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum

Serums are known for the super concentrated potency. I swear this is a dupe for a much more expensive serum and is very effective. It is so silky and adds great moisturize. I love to use this Moisture Boost Serum in the morning.

Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is a great antiseptic and topical antibacterial treatment for the skin. I especially like to use Tea Tree Oil on acne spots. I also mix a tiny bit in with my other ingredients for my homemade face scrub. I'm thinking about sharing that recipe soon...what do you think?

Trader Joe's Argan Oil

Argan Oil is one of my favorite facial oils because it's non-irritating so great for adding moisture to sensitive skin. I also like to use a little on the ends of my hair or on my cuticles. I find Trader Joe's Argan Oil to be at a better price than many other places.

Trader Joe's Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream

This hand cream is just the best and doesn't leave that greasy residue that I hate about hand creams. My mom, a nurse, washes her hands endlessly and sometimes they can be so cracked. I gave her a tube of this hand cream and it has worked great for her. It's also the best hand cream in the winter without being too heavy.

Trader Joe's Jojoba Oil

Although no oil is an exact match for the oils in our skin, jojoba oil is the closest to our sebum making it a great carrier oil to pair with other oils or on its it. Jojoba oil can also be a great eye makeup remover (let it sit on for like ten seconds). Little tip: I make my own facial oil blend and this is the base oil that I use, mixing a couple others (like Trader Joe's Argan Oil) with it depending on my skin's current needs. Would you be interested in the recipe?

Trader Joe's Ginger Turmeric Tea

Okay, I know you're like 'how is this a beauty product?' but turmeric has so many amazing benefits, many of which directly impact your skin. I love to throw some of these tea bags in my handbag so I can have them on the go. I also like to add one to my detox tea because I'm extra like that.

**Not pictured but one of my all time favorites: Trader Joe's Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (I didn't need to replenish so forgot to include with photo)

Coconut oil is something I regularly use on my hair for it's amazing moisturizing benefits. I use it one of two ways. I either scoop some out onto my hands, rub them together a little bit (it'll melt down very quickly) and run it through my hair from root to end (which I've previously sectioned off because it just makes it easier), really concentrating on the dryer ends. I allow the coconut oil to soak for 30 minutes up to hours (and I mean hoooours). But if I really have that kind of time I like to be super luxurious. I scoop some coconut oil out into a bowl, heat it up in the microwave for a few seconds, add in a couple drops of peppermint and lavender oil (both help prevent hair loss/stimulate hair growth. Plus, the scent is amazing, makes me feel relaxed, and is very soothing on the scalp.) Rinse thoroughly in the shower afterwards, shampoo and condition as usual. My hair never feels so soft as after this.

Many other people use coconut oil as a makeup remover or moisturizer. I find, for me, it clogs my pores too much so avoid using it on my face but will moisturize my body with it. It's also great on cuticles!

Now that you know mine, what are your favorite Trader Joe's beauty products that I'm missing out on? While you're there you might as well pick up a bag of Trader Joe's Pickle Popcorn, too.

XO,

JB
